About the event
2019 marks a new era for The Warehouse Project, so what better way to begin this next chapter than drafting forward thinkers spanning house, disco, 140s and beyond? Headlined by the mighty Disclosure, one of the best-loved UK dance acts of the last decade, it’s about bringing together broad, confident sounds.
Running the gamut from veterans to newcomers, Maribou State’s organic rhythms contrast BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Annie Mac, whose weekly show is renowned for unearthing future anthems, whether breaks or techno. Sweden’s Baba Stiltz is also known for varied selections, deftly blending tough grooves with playful vocal bombs. Rave revivalist par excellence Paul Woolford is just as at home dropping bouncing looped fours or hardcore. The likes of On Loop founder Moxie, Ninja Tune’s Jayda G, DJ Seinfeld and Mall Grab use garage, deep immersive grooves and smoky lo-fi beats as touchstones. Sherelle and Kettama represent ferocious fresh blood, respectively masters of rapid-fire footwork and raw, upfront tech. It’s the kind of scope The Depot was designed for.
